If someone were to ask Jasmine Santos to describe the last few years of her life with a single word, it would definitely be a four-letter one.
After seventeen years—and countless broken bones and broken promises—she knows her window to compete in figure skating is coming to a close.
But when the offer of a lifetime comes in from an arrogant idiot she’s spent the last decade dreaming about pushing in the way of a moving bus, Jasmine might have to reconsider everything.
Including Ivan Lukov.
Brandi’s 4 star review
One of my one-click author’s, Marina Zapata aka the queen of slow burn romance just brightens my February with this sweet romance. I have to admit, it’s not my favorite book from her but it is against stiff competition…Wait for It, Kulti, The Wall of Winnipeg and Under Locke (all 5+ star reads).
Like all Zapata books, this is a lengthy novel (which I love) which lets you really get to know these character’s. Jasmine determination to succeed in Ice skating was a bit prolonged thru the story and I wanted her to open her eyes to Ivan a lot quicker than she did. I really thought Ivan was going to be more of a prick than he was but actually he made a perfectly sweet hero. Their chemistry was easily discovered by the reader and lets just say – their cut- throat banter was hilarious as was Jasmine’s family.
I loved how this book centered around Ice skating especially in time for the Olympics. Thanks Zapata for teaching me what a triple Lutz is!
