Review: Vicious by L.J. Shen

They say love and hate are the same feelings experienced under different circumstances, and it’s true.

The man who comes to me in my dreams also haunts me in my nightmares.

He is a brilliant lawyer.

A skilled criminal.

A beautiful liar.

A bully and a savior, a monster and a lover.

Ten years ago, he made me run away from the small town where we lived. Now, he came for me in New York, and he isn’t leaving until he takes me with him.
She is a starving artist.

Pretty and evasive like cherry blossom.

Ten years ago, she barged into my life unannounced and turned everything upside down.

She paid the price.

Emilia LeBlanc is completely off-limits, my best friend’s ex-girlfriend. The woman who knows my darkest secret, and the daughter of the cheap Help we hired to take care of our estate.

That should deter me from chasing her, but it doesn’t.

So she hates me. Big fucking deal.

She better get used to me.
Brandi’s 4.5 star review
Where the hell have I been?! How did I now just stumble across this book! I may have a thing for male leads who can be assholes and let me tell you…Vicious is an asshole. This beautiful man is straight up a prick and I loved reading his …shall I’ll say…come to Jesus moment.

Emilia’s parents take a job working at Vicious’s family estate. Their both seniors in HS and where Emilia is sweet and caring Vic is a total asshole, he calls her “Help” for Gods sake (yes, I know that’s the third time I have referred to the man in a foul way but read the book and you’ll understand why). He ends up destroying the girl and then fast forward ten years and he needs her help.

The chemistry between these two is off the freaking charts but I swear that man needed a good smack. By the end it was enjoyable to see Vic change his ways, I mean he’s still a prick but you’ll just have to read it to see what I mean.
