Due to popular demand, Kate Willoughby brings you Hart Griffin and Jeremy Fenton’s origin story. Find out how these two met and fell in love…
Holtzer University junior Hart Griffin won’t let anything interfere with his future as a professional hockey player. No way, no how. He’s the star forward of his college team and a first round NHL draft pick.
One hot night with a male super fan calls into question everything Hart thought he knew about his sexuality and launches him on a soul-searching journey in which nothing is as it seems and his entire world is turned upside down.
This is not a GFY romance…this is a guy who is totally in the closet and one who isn’t. Sadly, I peeked forward in the series and Hart is still in the closet…and hurting Jeremy in the process. This story was actually really good, but I wanted a different ending (which led me to peek ahead and learn from other reviewers that this love does get its HEA).
Jeremy is great. He is out and proud and loud! He knows who he is and what he wants…and who he wants…which is Hart. Hart is hockey…and hockey is a macho sport. While I knew a ton of hockey players (especially being from “the Hockey Town” of Canada), I can’t say that I ever knew a gay one (not out any how).
Hart and Jeremy do a lot of growing in this story and I love that both of them knew that the other was their “one”. Sadly, the HFN was all I got at the end…but it was sweet and romantic and worth the wait! Enjoy!
