Review: Down to My Soul by Kennedy Ryan! @kennedyrwrites

She doesn’t wear my ring.

We never stood before a preacher.

The only vows exchanged were between our bodies; between our souls.

But she was mine and I was hers until I ruined it. I have to believe that every day, every step, every breath brings me closer to making things right.

To making her mine again.
I’ve seen promises broken.

I know love makes no guarantees.

But things were different for Rhys and me, until he lied, and I walked away. Only there’s a chain between our hearts that I can’t break. Even if I forgive him, a shadow from my past hangs over us; over this love that reaches all the way down to my soul.

5 Stars!!!!

My Soul to Keep was one of my Top 2015 reads,so you can imagine my excitement of getting my hands on the follow-up! If I loved Rhyson before, let’s just say I am head-over-heels in live with him now(no, that’s not a typo.). In Down to My Soul he proves just how deep in love he is with Kai, he’s her protector, supporter and best friend. I had so many swoon moments…from his special dream to sleeping under his piano and let’s not forget the daily mistletoe.

Many author’s write a book, leave us with a cliffhanger and then the follow-up is full of….filler. You reader’s out there know what I’m talking about. It’s good but it’s not great, we had such high expectation’s and while you do enjoy it, it’s disappointing. Well, Down to My Soul is the complete opposite. This book takes you on a journey. Kai and Rhyson’s story has so much more to give us and I loved every moment. Their love is soul deep and while fighting to protect each other, this leads to trust issues. It’s such an emotional story watching these two fight for each other along with fighting their own demons.

Kennedy Ryan knows how to give the reader what we’re looking for. It’s romance at its best and now she has a fan/stalker who will read anything she gives us!
