He’s the hottest MMA fighter in the game, but one woman is ready to try out a few steamy moves of her own in an unforgettable new novel from New York Times bestselling author Lori Foster…
With the life he’s led and the muscles he’s gained, Armie Jacobson isn’t afraid of anything. Except maybe Merissa Colter’s effect on him. It’s not just that she’s his best friend’s little sister. Fact is, she deserves better. Women pursue him for one night of pleasure, and that’s all he wants to offer. Until rescuing Merissa from a robbery leads to the most erotic encounter of his life.
Good girl meets bad boy. It’s a story that rarely ends well. But Merissa is taking matters into her own hands. No matter how he views himself, the Armie she knows is brave, honorable and completely loyal. And as past demons and present-day danger collide, they’re both about to learn what’s truly worth fighting for…
You delicious manwhore you! Years you have been dreaming pervy on your Besties sister and then fiction becomes reality and she is walking into your arms. Do you resist? Do you push her away? Do you stop yourself from enjoying every dang second? No, No, and No! Thank goodness!!!
I have read the first three books in this series and while I totally loved Denver and Cherry (She is just too hilarious)… I really wanted Armie to quit it with those fluzzies and get with our girl Rissy!!! I was so glad that it happened the way it did though. Both Armie and Rissy needed to be in a place where they were ready for it to be the forever kind of encounter…otherwise, Cannon and Armie might have lost their lifelong friendship (and ain’t nobody wanting to lose that bromance!). I loved how right they were for each other and while the jealousy was a bit over the top for me, they had just enough faith in each other not to ruin their relationship before it began.
I was worried that this was the end for these boys, but the whole book set up for Leese and a new group of guys to open/work as bodyguards. Yeah!!
So why my 4 star-review:
This story started off slower than I wanted and was quite repetitive with jealous bits/ Armie worrying over Leese and Rissy.
The villain was just off to me and I had to suspend belief quite a few times.
Merrissa doubting herself and feeling afraid to be seen as weak…You were robbed and sexually violated (manhanded during the robbery), if it were me, I would be not only be calling my brothers but crawling onto the couch with one of them and my sister-in-law and getting “everything will be okay cuddles”. Seriously, even at 45 years old…I would be calling my bro!
I needed an epilogue…this is a series end and I just wanted a bit more…perhaps we will get the more in the new series…
