Strip You Bare (Deacons of Bourbon Street #4)

Sparks fly when a society belle and a biker with a troubled past get down and dirty in the Big Easy. Maisey Yates turns up the heat in the sizzling finale of a series co-written with Megan Crane, Rachael Johns, and Jackie Ashenden.
Micah Carpenter hates New Orleans. Hell, after ten years he no longer has much affection for the Deacons of Bourbon Street motorcycle club, either. But when the brotherhood calls, Micah answers. Joining the hunt for their mentor’s killer, he crosses paths with a Southern belle who exudes class—and sex appeal. Micah knows better than to mess with ice princesses: No matter how hot things get, they never melt. And yet he can’t stop himself from offering her a taste of the wrong side of the tracks.
Sarah Delacroix understands that reputation is everything. The daughter of a prominent family rocked by scandal, she’s desperate to restore their good name. Micah’s exactly the kind of man she should be avoiding. Behind his sleek and sophisticated exterior beats the heart of a predator—and she knows it. But, like the tattoos beneath his tailored suit, his rough edges are irresistible. And all too soon Sarah finds him getting under her skin . . . and living out every one of her hottest fantasies.
Hot off the presses!!! The latest in Deacons of Bourbon Street series. I love these conflicted guys and the women that learn to love them. This “squatters” story was about one of those magnificent French Quarter houses that you see now chopped up into restaurants and apartments. The Deacons were left the Delacroix family French Quarter home…now don’t worry for the Delacroix fam-jam because they have family homes in the Garden District, outside of town and “the big house” which I assumed to be a big Plantation home outside outside of town!
Micah is “staying” at the mansion while they try to learn who killed their surrogate father/MC President. Since the deed to the house is made out to the Deacons, much like the gallery was in book #3, Micah takes up residence and then bodyguard duty when Sarah Delacroix decides to throw an old school Christmas party at the French Quarter Mansion. This was a leap of faith for me…because she had NO right to be there, NO right to throw a party there, and definitely NO right to tell the actual owners what to do.
Of course she falls for bad boy Micah…but it was even better when she feel for the reformed good guy version of Micah too! I enjoyed the plot twists, I liked the MC banter between the guys and I loved the hot smexy lovin’ Micah introduced to Sarah. A great quick read that had me shopping the French Quarter right along with Micah and Sarah! Enjoy!
