Review: Midnight Alias (Killer Instincts #2) by Elle Kennedy!

She’s smart, seductive, and in way over her head.

He’s her only way out.

An undercover DEA agent has gone off the radar. Suspecting an internal mole, the government needs Luke Dubois and his elite team of operatives to recover their man, and the New Orleans native thinks he’s found his way inside the dark underbelly of Manhattan: Olivia Taylor, the girlfriend of a mob boss and the sexiest woman he’s ever laid eyes on. His new mission objective? Get past Olivia’s defenses and convince her to take a chance—on him.

All Olivia wanted was to finish law school and live a normal life, but that dream was shattered when one dangerous night put her deeply in a mobster’s debt. Now Luke and his team will help her escape—in exchange for intel on the missing agent. But Olivia doesn’t anticipate her intense attraction to the reckless Louisiana charmer or that she’ll be forced to risk everything—including her heart.

Brandi’s 4 star review…

In the second installment of the Killer Instinct series Luke and the boys are looking for a DEA agent that’s undercover in the Mafia world. When Luke has to stake out a strip club,a certain stripper catches his eye and when he realizes he needs to get close to her to hopefully crack the case, he never expect who was behind the Livy Lovelace facade.

When Olivia’s mother fell ill to cancer she took on a job as a stripper to afford the bills and her college degree but one ill-fated night now how’s her in the clutches of her boss whom happens to be connected to the Mafia. She will play the girlfriend role until she can save up enough money to get out of town but when a stranger offers her help, she’ll do whatever it takes to take down the bastard who’s been ruining her life the last six months.
Midnight Alias was another action-packed read! Olivia is smart, loyal and my kind of heroine that I love to read. The connection between her and Luke was smoldering and I enjoyed their scenes together. Luke is a playful but dominate playboy and it was fun to see him fall for the girl and still be the bad-ass mercenary. Now, it’s time for Midnight Games, Trev and Isobel’s story!
