Review: The Friend Zone (Game On #2) by Kristen Callihan!@Kris10Callihan

Book Description

Publication Date: May 5, 2015
Gray doesn’t make friends with women. He has sex with them. Until Ivy.

The last thing star tight-end Gray Grayson wants to do is drive his agent’s daughter’s bubblegum pink car. But he needs the wheels and she’s studying abroad. Something he explains when she sends him an irate text to let him know exactly how much pain she’ll put him in if he crashes her beloved ride. Before he knows it, Ivy Mackenzie has become his best texting bud. But then Ivy comes home and everything goes haywire. Because the only thing Gray can think of is being with Ivy.

Ivy doesn’t have sex with friends. Especially not with a certain football player. No matter how hot he makes her…

Gray drives Ivy crazy. He’s irreverent, sex on a stick, and completely off limits. Because, Ivy has one golden rule: never get involved with one of her father’s clients. A rule that’s proving harder to keep now that Gray is doing his best to seduce her. Her best friend is fast becoming the most irresistible guy she’s ever met.

Which means Gray is going to have to use all his skills to win Ivy’s heart. Game on.

Brandi’s 4.5 Star review

In The Hook Up, Drew swooned us with his irresistible charm and devotion,so I was very curious to see if Gray could be a contender in the all-mighty-swoon battle. And…boy does he ever! The sweetness, devotion and all out compassionate man that is Gray Greyson was a toe-curling experience.

The Friend Zone starts off entertaining as Gray and Ivy become friends over texting since he is currently driving her car while she is out of the country helping her mother. When they meet its instant chemistry since they have already connected on a friend level but they are both afraid to break those boundaries since they could end up losing their friendship. While fighting their sexual attraction the angst level ratchets up but having completely connected to these character’s I understood their fears although, at the same time I was excited to see these two take the plunge.
Heart pumping romance, on-the-edge angst, sweet talking hero, innocent and relatable heroine are just a few elements that make this book another awesome addition to this addictive series. If you love NA with major steam or love a realistic football romance, than this is the series for you. Being a huge football fan it makes my day when the author writes the realism of football and doesn’t use it as a selling point when it’s obvious in the writing they are clueless to the sport.
I can’t wait to see where this series goes next!
