From the New York Times and USA Today bestselling author of Bully, Until You, Rival, and Falling Away comes the sizzling conclusion to the Fall Away series.
The tables have turned. Now I have the power—and it’s his turn to beg…
Everyone wants to be me.
Maybe it’s the sway of my skirt or the way I flip my hair, but I don’t care. Even though their attention is the last thing I crave, I just can’t stop. I dominate the track, the speed rattles my bones, and the wind and the crowd screams my name.
I’m her. The girl driver. The queen of the race. And I’m surviving—something he thought I’d never do.
They all still talk about him. Did you see Jared Trent on T.V? What did you think of his last race, Tate? When is he coming back to town, Tate?
But I refuse to care too much. Because when Jared does come home, I won’t be here.
Tatum Brandt is gone. I’m someone new.
Brandi’s 5 Star review…
*Contains spoilers from Falling Away*
At the end of Falling Away (Fall Away #3) Jared left Tate and in the process left us speechless while pounding on the Kindle or possibly pulling at your hair…not that I did that! While some people acted out towards Ms. Douglas ( come on people… Really?!) after the initial shock I wanted to go and give this woman a hug because it’s what their story needed.
Let me explain, when two people are true soul mates at such a young age they can freeze in time, never moving forward because of the love they have for the other person but years down the road is it really enough? Jared NEEDED
to leave Tate to become the man he needs to be. He had to do this for himself or what kind of relationship would they have in the years to come. So, THIS
is the exact reason I could not wait for this book, to see with time apart how Jared and Tate would rekindle their love and how they had grown within that time.
I LOVED this book! It was everything and more than I had hopes for! Jared was his cocky and determined self while Tate was the one who had changed the most. She hardened from her heartbreak and no one can fault her in that. Reading as these two reconnected was one heartwarming-angst filled journey! As in the previous books the whole gang is back and I loved every moment I got to spend with them, especially Madox. He is such an awesome friend to Tate that if you did not love him before you will by the end of this book.
Aflame is told in dual POV’s, which I loved and I think that’s exactly what this story needed. However,my heart sinks with the fact that this is the last book to this phenomenal series but it could not have ended in a more perfect way!
